The police and legal system needs to do more, as they are for example with speeding in a car or using a phone whilst driving, these are now being taken seriously, the way these acts are now being dealt with is reducing the number of incidents because it is being taken seriously. Stalking, DV and harassment right now needs so much evidence to even be proved in the early stages, in many cases nothing can be done, then it becomes too late in some cases and people have died because earlier intervention, conviction, sentencing was not there. Now I am not saying people only need to report it and that be that but some intervention through the law needs to be had and giving a warning to stay away is not enough.
